Daveena

This 2011 mare not only thrives on work, she takes pride in what she does and is thrilled if you do as well. She is a joy to be around and an excellent mother.

Pedigree

Her sire, Dacprio, passed his stallion licensing in Germany before being imported to the USA and would be considered of a modern type. He is by the dressage sire, Davignon I, who is yet another example of the proven Donnerhall/Pik Bube I cross. Dacaprio’s broodmare sire, Caprimond (Trakehner), was a dressage horse and is responsible for several international competitors, including Noble Dream (dressage), Daiquiri Key West (eventing), etc.

Glamour Girl, Daveena’s dam, is also of the modern type, but her refining influences are largely found through Thoroughbreds. Glamour Girl carries two crosses to the legendary Gotthard on her sire’s side and two crosses to the highly influential Sir Gaylord xx on her dam’s side. Daveena’s maternal grandsire, Graf Genius, was noted for his amateur-friendly offspring in dressage, jumping and hunters. He himself was quite successful as a young horse and went on to compete in dressage.

Daveena certainly has that special Joie de Vivre that comes through in everything she does. Her 2016 colt by Lordanos, who was sold before weaning, also relishes life. Having proven herself as a producer and having been started with Buck Brannaman, Daveena is now in development with Emma Daily Kline at Northwood Farms.
